Man Trying to Lose Weight

Man Trying to Lose Weight

Finding one single thing that can help you lose weight is akin to finding a gold nugget while skimming stones on a lake. However, using the power of your mind and psychology tricks, there is one simple method you can use to guarantee your weight loss success, and it is free, easy and simple.

There are no strings attached, just a simple method that is used by countless people who have succeeded in sport, business, arts, fitness and careers.

This is it here, and although it may seem simple by nature, this is the reason for success in so many people who have otherwise failed to “make it”:

Be accountable to somebody other than yourself

It has been known for centuries that humans will do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure – that is a simple psychological fact, so we can use this fact to help us, rather than hinder us.

When we create accountability, we are not only striving to achieve our goal for ourselves, but also to avoid the pain of letting the other person(s) down, and the pain of making ourselves looking like a lazy fool.

Talking is easy, but doing is the hard part. This is why this method automatically guarantees you a better chance at succeeding, provided you follow a couple of simple rules:

  1. Always make it a person who is NOT a family member or your spouse. These people tend to go easy on you, plus they think they know you. This can be detrimental so success because they think they know what you can and can’t do, so they aren’t surprised when you fail.
  2. The other person must also have a goal they are striving to achieve, and you must hold that person accountable to their success as well.
  3. The point of being accountable is not to belittle or ridicule the person if they fail to achieve it, simply to ask why they didn’t, and then together reformulate the plan for success, then meet up again to see if has been met that time.
  4. Meeting up once per week is the best time frame. Monthly it gets too hard to focus on details, and daily fluctuations can be too wild.
  5. These meetings do not have to be long, in fact 15 minutes a week is plenty enough time to discuss your meeting of objectives, or failure.

Finding such a person is not difficult, every single person in this life wants to be better, you just have to find someone who is willing to become better be achieving a goal.

Here are some places you may find such a person:

  • At a gym
  • Dance, martial arts or other fitness classes
  • Online chatrooms/forums (it is advisable to have somebody you can “see” every week, as opposed to an internet friend – although an online buddy is better than no buddy
  • Universities and colleges
  • Goal setting groups
  • You ambitious friends or work colleagues

There are plenty of people who are looking for the same thing as you – accountability – you just have to make the first move to get out there and find such a person.

3 Tips for a Successful Weight Loss Programme

Man Trying to Lose Weight

Man Trying to Lose Weight

You need to understand that in order to turn your life in the right direction that there are 3 things you need to know that can aid you in tackling your obesity.  Each and every day can be a struggle when dealing with the unknown.

Quick weight loss plans of course are a favorite for our society to embark upon; however, there are 3 main things any good program must recognize.

They are the following:

1. Choose the right weight loss program.

The program which you choose must teach proper nutrition.  Obtaining a good nutritional plan and maintaining that nutritional plan is crucial to any weight loss programme.  If the program you choose disregards a well balanced diet, that means they are only focusing on losing weight quickly.  This is a good short term fix to your obesity problem but you will however statistically speaking, gain the weight back without the knowledge of keeping the weight off as well as not understanding how a good nutritional diet aids with a long term weight loss plan.

2. Say No to Binge Eating and Comfort Eating

Believe it or not, your mind affects your eating habits.  If you have the mindset that every time you are upset you have to eat, this can cause obesity. Binge eating when you are upset or emotionally distressed, is known to upset your diet.

You have to master the idea that you do not have to eat every time you get upset.

If you absolutely have to eat something, make it something healthy as compared to something which is highly concentrated in sugar or chocolate.  You can train your mind in changing your eating habits.  You need to find out why you are becoming upset and deal with the issue(s).

3. Be Active:-

A healthier lifestyle can be very beneficial to someone fighting obesity.  Choose to start exercising, change your routines which you perform on a daily basis, motivate yourself.  You do not have to go out and run ten miles a day but do keep in mind that cardiovascular exercises are not only good for your heart but is also a great way to burn calories, which is important in weight loss or keeping the weight off.  Many small things we perform on a daily basis actually burn calories.

* Take the Stairs:- Walking up and down stairs as compared to using the elevator is a great exercise.

* Ride your Bike:- If you do not live far from your work place, ride your bike to work instead of driving your car.  You will not only benefit physically from small changes such as this but you will begin to feel better about yourself overall.

Any program you choose to aid you in the fight against obesity must contain these three very important rules.  These points are the foundation for any good weight loss program.  Keep in mind if you choose a program which will guide you through the weigh loss regime, therefore, choosing the right one for you will save you money as compared to going through many expensive weight loss programs which never worked for you in the first place.

Last of all:- Believe in yourself and think positive!

Macrobiotic Diet – What are the Contents & Exclusions of Macrobiotic Diet

Marcobiotic Diet Book

Marcobiotic Diet Book

Macrobiotic Diet and the philosophy behind it, were developed by a Japanese health educator George Ohsawa who firmly believed that simplicity was the key to well being and optimal health. Due to the strenuous restrictions it placed on the user, the macrobiotic diet was revised in 1978 by Michio Kushi. Though there are similarities with high fibre diet plan, the 2 diets are different from each other as you will read below.  The word macrobiotic originated from Greek roots and means “long life”.

Contents of a Macrobiotic Diet

* The macrobiotics diet consists of low fats and high fiber and is predominantly vegetarian diet consisting of whole grains and vegetables.

* The diet comprises in a rich source of phytoestrogens which is obtained from the soy products.

*People that suffer from chronic diseases as well as cancer have been recommended to follow diets such as macrobiotics due to the low fat and high fiber contents of the diet.

The main contents of a macrobiotic diet consists of 50 to 60% whole grains per meal such as whole wheat, barley, brown rice, millet, corn and buckwheat as well as other whole grains. Foods that can be eaten occasionally are pasta, bread, rolled oats and products that contain flour. One can also have 1 or 2 cups of soup a day which is made from fermented soybean.

The daily intake of vegetables per day make up 25 to 30% of your daily food intake and a third of the vegetables should be eaten raw. However one can steam, boil or bake the vegetables. Then 10% of your daily food intake should include your bean products such as tofu or natto. You are allowed to eat small amounts of fish which can be consumed 2 or 3 times per week and the fish can be eaten with ginger, wasabi or mustard which helps with detoxification. One should avoid eating dairy products as well as meat and poultry.

* One can eat fruit several times a week such as apples, peaches, pears, apricots, grapes melons berries, pineapple, mango and papaya as well as most other fruits that are available.

* Seeds and nuts can be eaten in moderation and desserts are allowed two to 3 times a week and may consist of dried fruits or baked apples and should you need a sweetener then you are allowed to use malt, rice syrup and barley malt. Sweeteners such as honey, chocolate and carob should be avoided.

* You need to use unrefined vegetable cooking oil and the best to use is sesame oil, corn oil and mustard seed oil.

* You can also use condiments such as grated ginger root, fermented pickles, brown rice vinegar, roasted seaweed and natural sea salt. The use of soybean products must be included into the diet daily.

* The macrobiotics diet plan is personal and factors such as season, gender, age, climate and activity as well as health needs all need to be taken into consideration. However there are nutritionists that have stated that this diet is far too restrictive and that it also lacks in nutrients such as protein, iron, magnesium, calcium and Vitamin B12 and maintain that a lack of protein could result in low energy levels.

However soy products contain a high protein level and the macrobiotic diet contains sufficient vitamins and minerals which can be obtained from most of the foods such as your fruit and vegetables. The only vitamin lacking is B12 which can only be obtained from red meat.

Note:-

* Non Vegetarian food is excluded from Macrobiotic Diet

What is High Fibre Diet & High Fibre Diet Plan

A high fibre diet is extremely beneficial to all people in that it maintains health and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as diverticulitis, constipation, hemorrhoids as well as some types of cancer such as colon cancer and breast cancer. A high fibre diet also helps to lower the blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

Types of Fibre

There are two different types of fibre which are soluble and insoluble.

Insoluble Fibre

Insoluble fibre moves bulk through the intestines as well as controls and balances the acidity in the intestines. Insoluble fibre also promotes normal bowel movements which prevents constipation and at the same time removes harmful toxins and waste products from the bowel. This fibre type prevents colon cancer by retaining an optimal acidity level in the intestines. Constipation is a cause of many bowel diseases and therefore, doctors recommend that you avoid constipation.

There are a variety of foods that contain insoluble fibre such as green leafy vegetables and green beans, all whole wheat products, rolled oats, bran, corn, fruit and fruit skins as well as root vegetable skins and nuts and seeds.

Soluble Fibre

On the other hand soluble fibre binds with fatty acids which prolong the release of sugar into the system.

* Patients suffering from diabetes should make sure they take in a substantial amount of soluble fibre as it regulates their blood sugar levels.

* Soluble fibre also lowers the cholesterol levels which reduced the risk of heart disease. Foods such as nuts, barley, flax seed, dried peas and beans, oranges and apples, psyllium husk and carrots are rich in soluble fibre.

It is very important to include fibre in your diet and one should have at least five servings of fruit and vegetables per day as well as three servings of whole grains per day.

* Constipation sufferers, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Type I and II diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, indigestion or heart disease patients should consider a high fibre diet.

Foods Containg High Fibre:

* Fruits – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, dates, dried apricots prunes and raisins, oranges, pears and apples.

* Grains – whole wheat pasta, whole wheat breads, barley, brown rice, bran flakes, all bran, corn and popcorn.

* Vegetables – kidney beans, lima beans, green peas and beans, broccoli, spinach, black-eyed beans, chick peas, lentils, almonds, soy nuts pumpkin seeds and whole flaxseed.

High Fibre Diet Plan

* For instance you can have 125ml bran cereal with 250ml skim milk, 1 small fruit, a slice of whole wheat toast with margarine and tea or coffee for breakfast.

* You can alternate each day with foods such a grilled toast,  grapefruit, bran muffins, oats, dried fruit or berries.

Condoms: Useful Tips & Instructions to Avoid Condom Failures

Kamasutra Condoms

Kamasutra Condoms

If you are a doctor, you will have probably heard the various excuses people come up with in your clinic about why they do not wear condoms and hence, expose themselves to the risk of HIV and AIDS and other various sexually transmitted diseases !

If you have never used a condom before, read the Step by Step guide on how to use a male Condom!

Here are some of the chosen few comments and tips on Condom use and avoid failures!

Comments:-

* The Condoms feel too tight?

Answer:- Condoms are supposed to feel tight, how are they going to stay in their place, if they are not tight fitting!

* Condoms are never near when I need them?

Answer:- Be prepared! Anticipate where you might get into situations where you need to roll down the “rubber man”. So be prepared at work, on a travel trip with your mates, trip to a gentleman’s club, gym and if you are Tiger Woods or Paris Hilton, then you need to carry a bag full of them 24×7 everywhere you go!

Ordinary people keep them in the gym bag, tote bag, briefcase etc.

* My Condom failed?

Answer:- Condoms rarey fail! They are tested in the lab and are made anticipating vigorous and rough use. Most patients when questioned closely, will reveal that they never wore the condom in the first place! Or that the condom has been in their wallet for the last 5 years or so!

* How to Avoid Condom failure?

Answer:- Condom failure can be avoided by following the following tips:-

* Wear the condom properly, make sure that there are no air pockets in the rubber! The air in the condom can be taken out by stroking the shaft in the downward direction. We all know that you know how to “stroke the shaft”, but this time do it in the downward direction, the aim being to get rid of the air in the rubber and nothing else!

* Make sure that the condoms are not expired! Everything has an expiry date and so do condoms! Expired condoms will break and fail!

* Condoms kept in the glove box or in the wallet are exposed to heat which can make the latex wear out and makes them liable to failure! So, if you kept some emergency supply in either of these places for a “Quickie” with the gorgeous person whom you just met, make sure they are “in date” and replaced frequently.

* Make sure that there is a loose reservoir at the tip to catch the “white stuff”, manufacturers recommend that you pinch the reservoir when wearing!

* Make sure you use only water based lubricants, in case you need lubricants!

* Never use the condom more than once!

* Men love to experiment, but avoid oil based lubricants such as baby oil and butter (!) as these can damage the latex condoms!

* Some medicines applied to the penis or vagina, can damage the condom, so check with your doctor!

Positions

Positions

* Coming back to experimentation, most of the condoms are designed for vaginal intercourse with humans, so using them in “other places” or with other species, can lead to failure!

* Always store them in a cool dry place away from heat and direct sunlight, to prevent failure!

* Last but not the least, if using condoms in a Cialis or Tadalafil induced sexual marathon or orgy, (some people think they are Hugh Hefner!) make sure that you change the condom periodically and every time you change partners! That is just common sense!

Let’s Get it ON

* Using a condom doesn’t have to ruin the moment! So that you can really relax and enjoy the experience, take the time to familiarize yourself with the use of condom. Many doctors recommend that you try it on when alone to prevent embarrassment at a crucial moment!

* Lastly make sure to remember that “Safe Sex Saves Lives”. And condoms are the best bet when it comes to preventing sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancy.
